John Lunn is a, fellowship trained, Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder problems. He deals with all aspects shoulder pathology ranging from sports injuries, dislocation, fractures, rotator cuff problems and arthritis.
Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, shoulder dislocation surgery and replacement surgery are some of the main areas of surgical expertise. Specialisation on one area of the body allows us to achieve better outcomes with a low risk of complications.
Sports injuries to the shoulder require a different approach to injuries more related to increasing age and general wear and tear. We have a strong interest and understanding of sporting shoulder injuries and treat all conditions affecting the shoulder.
Tips for after surgery
Anticipate that it will be awkward and uncomfortable to use the arm for simple activities. Depending on the surgery you will be unable to do certain things. This means planning ahead and getting help at home arranged.
